Arrays and strings in C#

Practice this question

Problems to practice

  • Two Sum
  • Best Time to Buy and Sell Stock
  • Move Zeroes
  • Product of Array Except Self
  • Valid Palindrome
  • Longest Substring Without Repeating Characters
  • Group Anagrams

Example: two sum

csharp
public int[] TwoSum(int[] nums, int target) {
    var map = new Dictionary<int, int>();

    for (int i = 0; i < nums.Length; i++) {
        int needed = target - nums[i];
        if (map.ContainsKey(needed)) {
            return new[] { map[needed], i };
        }
        map[nums[i]] = i;
    }

    return Array.Empty<int>();
}

Time and space complexity

  • Time: O(n)
  • Space: O(n)
