What problem did it solve?
Practice this questionDiscussion template: use your own project facts, ownership, and measured outcomes. Bracketed text is a placeholder.
Short explanation:
A problem statement explains the user's difficulty or business need that motivated the feature. It should distinguish the problem from your implementation choice: “using NestJS” is not a user problem. Explain the previous limitation only if you know it from the actual project.
Key points:
-
“It helped users [business outcome] by replacing/improving [old process].”
-
Use the actual user problem; do not assume a manual process existed.
-
Describe what became easier, faster, more reliable or more visible, and say how the team knew that outcome mattered.
Interview point:
- Anchor the answer in a real user need rather than a generic claim that the platform improved efficiency.
